DisAbility Services

DisAbility Services support clients to develop skills, participate in the community and develop friendships. Outings and activities are based on clients' choices and enjoyment.

The Disability Centre Based Group operates on Monday 9:00am to 3:00pm. Morning tea, a two course meal and light refreshments are provided. Transport for our clients is provided as required.

 Friday Services:

First Friday of each month, staff accompany 1-2 clients for special request outings, e.g. day time football games, museums, lunches, learning new skills such as cooking, gardening or planned appointments.

Second, third, and fourth Friday's of the month. staff accompany clients to planned outings, clients are encouraged to request outings the previous month and we will try to accommodate.

  • Develop new friendships and skills
  • Explore previously untapped talents
  • Develop independent living skills
  • Choose activities and try new things
  • Maintain fitness and wellbeing

What sort of activities are there?

A variety of activities and outings are prepared by our experienced staff including:

  • Recreational outings ie. Sailing, bowling
  • Special events networked with the broader community
  • Music and art
  • Lunch outings

Is there a fee?  

  • Please refer to our brochure for more details. If you are experiencing hardship or feel that you cannot afford the service you can apply for a fee reduction.
