Volunteer Recognition Celebration 2013

On Wednesday 21 August we held our annual “Volunteer Recognition Celebration” in the Community Centre. It was a pleasure and privilege to thank our Volunteers who through their hard work and support are a pivotal part of HHRCS.

Anniversary certificates for five years of volunteering were presented to Bob Holland and Nalyn Sirivivatnanon. Special guests were the volunteers from Novartis: Brenda, Nicki and Miranda, who volunteered on the Community Participation Day. Persis Koo and William Davies from City of Ryde and Tania Gamble from Hunters Hill Council also celebrated with us.

As a token of our gratitude all Volunteers received a mini first aid kit, a pen and chocolates. In addition there were lucky door prizes and a beautiful quilt donated by the Hunters Hill Quilter’s Club - the lucky winner was Betty Benjamin.

A festive hall decorated in our logo colours: ribbons, balloons and the smart flower decorations made by the ladies of Day Centre added colour and atmosphere.

Thank you for your interest regarding our Volunteer Program

HHRCS could not support its clients without the help of our volunteers support our clients by:

  • Delivering meals with a friendly chat and a smile
  • Contributing to the Day Centre program
  • Providing administrative support
  • Visiting new places driving buses on our Social Bus Outings
  • Making new friends visiting clients

We appreciate and recognise the contribution volunteers make to the community and do everything we can to encourage their ongoing involvement in HHRCS.

Our volunteer Board members contribute their knowledge, experience and time to guide the organisation in maintaining its aims and objectives and strategically plan for the future.

Join our volunteer program we look forward to receiving your application.

All volunteers are covered by our Public Liability insurance.
