VOLUNTEER RECOGNITION AWARD 5th September 2012
on 13 September 2012
Community Services has almost 250 volunteers who contribute in so many different ways to our organisation. To thank our volunteers on Wednesday 5th September we held our annual “Volunteer Recognition Celebration “in the Community Centre. The hall was transformed by balloons, tablecloths and wonderful flower decorations all in the HHRCS colours creating a very festive atmosphere. A special talking point was the flower decorations made by the ladies who attend the Day Centre on a Tuesday.
Speeches were made by Mary Carey the Executive Officer, Robyn Harvey the Board President, Gary Traill the Vice President of the Board spoke and handed out certificates of service. Special mention went to our drivers who have retired after greater than 20 years of service each.
The volunteers were treated with plunger coffee all the way from Byron Bay, sandwiches, fruit and cakes. As a token thank you they received a Cup for takeaway coffee filled with sweets and certificates.
Words are not enough to acknowledge the huge amount our volunteers contribute but thank you to each and every volunteer at HHRCS we appreciate everything you do for us.
Mary Carey, HHRCS Executive Officer
