Our Spanish Group consists of Spanish speakers who undertake outings and activities all the while meeting new people and interacting with the local community. They meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month.
On Thursday the 15th of June from 10.00am to 2.30pm the group will be participating in the EXERCISES: Brain Exercise and Physical Exercise meeting that will focus upon the importance of health and exercise
We all know that physical exercise can keep seniors strong and healthy, but not everyone knows the importance of brain exercise. Brain exercises can help seniors maintain brain function by keeping their synapses firing and the mind sharp and alert. You can have fun and exercise your brain power at the same time by playing a variety of mental games that stimulate learning processes, enhance memory and help prevent boredom and stagnation.
We will play some interesting brain training games using iPads in the morning and then, in the afternoon, we will participate in a free gentle exercise program, which has been especially designed for seniors.
All participants will have the opportunity to enjoy a delicious healthy lunch that will consist of - home cooked roast chicken, home cooked roast vegetables, winter soup, and dessert.
