On the 31st of May HHRCS hosted Australia's Biggest Morning Tea to raise funds for the Cancer Council. Our event sponsor Sharon Vincent, who is also a member of our Board, invited special guests, Gail O'Brien of the Chris O'Brien Lifehouse at RPA, and Dr Matt Harris of Clarity Pharmaceuticals who are engaged in research for the treatment of cancer.
Dr Harris gave a talk about his cancer research into the development of the next generation of PET radiopharmaceuticals for the nuclear medicine industry.
Sunshine, yellow balloons and tasty treats added to the excitement of the day. Prizes donated by the Stamford Grand North Ryde, Home Instead Senior Care and Cosmo Style were raffled off and altogether we raised $1,340.00 for the Cancer Council.
A big thank you goes to Sharon Vincent, our valued Volunteers and Staff at HHRCS who made for a successful and fun-filled morning. We also would like to thank our special guests, our raffle prize donors and all the Morning Tea participants.
