Hunters Hill Food & Wine Festival-CANCELLED

Posted on 2 May 2015

Hunters Hill Food and Wine Festival has been cancelled due to poor weather.

"We regret to inform you that due to the seriously adverse recent weather, Boronia Park Oval and other Council grounds have been closed to all activity. As such the Hunters Hill Food and Wine Festival scheduled for this Sunday 3 May has been cancelled.

We greatly appreciate your support for the event and we would not be surprised if you are as disappointed as we are. It is a great shame to lose the benefit of this event as a charity fundraiser, trade fair and community gathering.

This is the first time that we have had to cancel since starting in 1999. It has been a good run to date.

The festival is held annually at Boronia Park Oval in Hunters Hill, just 15 minutes from the city centre of Sydney. The first festival was in the year 2000, and has been growing in reputation and size each year since then.

Last year's festival was huge, with lots of new restaurants participating, and big crowds and fantastic weather. Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the day such a success.

The festival is a community fundraiser, with all profits going to local community projects."
