The HHRCS Art Group at Pittwater Road was thrilled and honoured to welcome Alastair McEwin, the Australian Disability Discrimination Commissioner to a special afternoon tea. Alastair McEwin came to meet the group on Friday the 17th of February after kindly accepting the Group's invitation to be the subject of their Archibald Portrait completion entry. It was great to hear about Mr McEwin's life and work as well as the strong commitment he has towards improving the lives of people with disabilities. We sincerely thank him for being so generous with his time and his words and we hope that the portrait will in a small way, highlight his important work.
