Sunday May 7th 2017 was one of those perfect days when everything comes together just so! The produce, festival goers, volunteers and weather all aligned at Boronia Park Oval for the most fabulous family day out. The 17th Hunters Hill Food and Wine Festival was a stunning day enjoyed by thousands of people and all in support of local community organisations such as Hunters Hill Ryde Community Services.
The total funds raised have not been released yet, but we know that our sponsors (United Resource Management Group, Access Engineering Systems, Crust Gourmet Pizza Bar and Shopper Media Group) have done their utmost to support us.
The raffle was also a resounding success with $2000 of donated prizes being given away to several lucky winners.
The 100 Job Smart volunteers from Sydney University lent us a hand selling festival glasses, gelato as well as raffle and ride tickets. They also made sure that the oval was spotless at the conclusion of the festivities.
We would like to extend our thanks to all those involved who gave up their time and lent their skills to support our local community organisations.
